Instructions for using the DELL 3200MP Projector with an Apple 15" G4 Powerbook.

  1. Plug the projector into an electrical outlet with the supplied black power cable.
  2. Attach the black end of the included video cable to the port on the Projector marked "M1 Signal In"
  3. Attach the White/Blue end of the included video cable to the DVI port on the right side of the Powerbook. Attach the black USB cable to the USB port, also on the right side of the Powerbook.
  4. Power on the Projector.
  5. Open System Preferences (in the Dock), go to the Displays preference, and click the "Detect Displays" button in the middle of the screen.
  6. Open Power Point as you would normally, but before running the presentation, go to the "Slide Show" menu and select "Set Up Show..."
  7. Click the button marked "Screen..." in the lower left corner of the screen. Here you will see two screens. The larger one to the left represents the Powerbook's LCD monitor and the smaller one to the right represents the Projector. Click on the rectange to the right, click "OK", and then click "OK" again.

  8. To run the slide show, select the menu "Slide Show" and then click on "View Show". The show will run on the projector, and can be controlled via remote (included). The PU and PD buttons represent "Page Up" and "Page Down" respectively, and can be used to scroll through the presentation.
